Florida Artist Donald Blake

Lani's has several paintings by Donald Blake.  He was one of the early faculty members of the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, and taught there through the 1930s and 1940s.  His work includes both water colors and oil paintings, mostly of landscapes. In the summer he would take groups of students to North Carolina where they would paint the mountains and other landscapes plein aire.  In his native Florida, he enjoyed painting seascapes and scenes from everyday life.  Please come and see our collection.
